SAM DONALD - Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Sam Donald is a guitarist and singer who presently resides on the MS Gulf Coast. Before opting to pursue a career as a lead singer and songwriter on his own, Sam spent years playing guitar in bands. In less than six weeks, a number of Sam's songs and videos went viral on TikTok, accumulating over 15 million views. Sam's streaming figures surged by more than 400% due to the viral success.

Following several years of collaboration with his longtime producer Zack Keel, the two decided to let the music and writing flow naturally rather than chasing aesthetic goals they believed they "should" be pursuing. As a result, a brand-new aesthetic known as "grunge country" emerged.
