MATT AXTON

Matt Axton is a gifted singer/songwriter. Granted, that's a claim made by many artists that inhabit the world of Americana these days, but in Matt's case, it's more than a mere boast. The ability to make music is firmly infused in his genes, courtesy of a family history that implanted that ability in him early on.

I like to think of my music as a "Humble slice of Americana", a mix of folk, funk, country, blues and rock with a little bit of everything else I can find thrown in.

Some would say music is in the blood. I was lucky enough to be born into a musical family and I am proud to keep the Axton Family Legacy alive. With my grandmother Mae "Queen Mother of Nashville" Axton - PR maven / Songwriter - "Heartbreak Hotel". My father Hoyt Axton- Singer/Songwriter/Actor - "Joy to the world", "Della and the Dealer" and "Gremlins". And My mom Donna Axton - Composer/Professor of Music/Piano Master as my guides, my musical journey took flight.
